The End of May

What there's to say about May?
Lilac comes to an end of our scent of the month, and we are exhausted but happy at the response we've had with this scent. June will be a new surprise, with more in tact. We have in store baskets, scents, and other eye opening favorites in store. We are also open to opinion, comments, and suggestions. Maybe you know of a scent that is simply irresistible, or maybe you've had a pleasant experience in our store that you'd like to share.

The summer soon will begin and we will forget about the bad energy in our lives, remember the past, and the promise of a brighter future again. Kids will leave class feeling like they never have before, and most likely, your summer will be filled with games, sporting, and other fun things. We hope that this summer will be a great one. One that will be filled with memories, glorifying moments that can be captured in a candle, lotion, soap, or other fine product. Memories that can be carried with you as a souvenir for you always.

It's amazing how many people come in our store who've never been in saying that a friend sent them. We are finding that customer referrals are our strongest advertising. If you've been in our store and have referred someone, thank you! There are many ways to link to people, this is one way, and linking is another.

Making the Customer Happy

Today we had a customer roll in here asking for our Cedarwood and Lemongrass essential oil shampoo. She is a regular and explained how needs to wash her hair with that shampoo because it really really works! We didn't have it on the shelf, but we did have the ingredients and the essential oils. I jotted her number down and a few hours later called her. Before the day was through she came back and took her shampoo home. She couldn't believe the customer service and how we can go that extra mile. Although she is a regular and a happy customer, there are so many other customers out there who haven't experienced our superior service. It's fair to note that the same day someone came in for LILAC perfume and we were out. We will be making more next week, and she is happy that we will be making more. Instead of just saying we are out, or sorry tough luck, we will try to do our best and keep everything in stock, and contact you when it's available. But please remember, the same wonderful scents in candles and/or soap is probably someone else's too.

From Trash to Treasure

A big thank you to Ellen for the latest addition to Wick-edly Sent's walls. Ellen supplied a table that she had put in her trash pile but thought we might be able to do something funky with it. A little paint and a couple of screws and up on the wall it went. This new addition gave us a great place to display baby photos, next time your in take a glance up at Matthew, Little Ricky, Brynn and Liam. I would have taken a picture but Don got this new camera and I can't operate it! We look forward to seeing you in person or online and until then, don't forget that someone elses trash can be your treasurer.

Our Olive Oil Soaps

If you haven't tried our olive oil soaps yet, you don't know what you're missing. These hand made soaps are made by yours truly, filled with olive, palm, and coconut oils. Each 12 bar batch includes 2 pounds of imported Italian olive oil! Wow, that's soothing.





Actually, customers have claimed that they do not have to moisturize after using this moisturizing soap. Even people with sensitive skin can rest assured that these whopping 7 oz bars are gentle enough to use on your face, hands, and body.





Hope you like variety, scents include the best selling Vanilla Almond Nutmeg, Apricot Peach, my favorite: Lavender Basil, and the best selling Oatmeal Milk and Honey. There are plenty more in our store, and a few that will be announced later in the Summer.

These make perfect gifts, and people are grabbing three or four at a time. We do free gift wrap with a nice presentation. Tips on making your soap last longer is keeping it on a soap dish that will let it drain properly.

Walton's Mountain

Now I know this sounds like a strange title for this entry but this morning I was up early and channel surfing and happen to stop on the Hallmark Channel. The Waltons was on and what a flashback! From what I remember of the Walton's, there was always some crisis that needed solving and some how it got done in 60 minutes with tears, laughter and a goodnight John Boy! Life has changed, with work, school, soccer practice and dance class life just seems to be rushing at us and we barely have to time breath. Remember to take time and reconnect with your inner self. A great way to do that is with our aromatherapy candles and bath and body. Turn the lights off, light a Relaxing Aromatherapy Candle and unwind to smooth jazz, glass of chardonay and take a vacation from your worries for at least one night.
